Canappela farm cooking
Each summer, Canappela Farm holds a 3-day cooking camp for kids aged 10 - 15. Each day of the camp, the campers prepare their meals and learn about nutrition, food preparation, safe kitchen practices, and farm-to-table cuisine. On the last day of the camp, we create a restaurant to which campers invite parents and friends as a way to share all that they have learned. The camp was begun in 2014 and has expanded each year to include more kids and those who graduate continue to enjoy the "fruits" of their learnings.
